Forty Fourth Question of the Day.

That kid had BETTER hope he was good this year.  Found us a Cthulhu Santa on neatorama, the coolest site on Earth, where I actually got another link to this blog last week!  Here is their incredible collection of homemade stuff, scroll around and find me: http://www.neatorama.com/category/crafts-diy/
Does anyone know how to work felt like that?

Cold Snap!

(An actual Upper Deck card, a one of a kind original sketch by someone named “Red”, featuring my favorite sport and my favorite villain together at last, from the Marvel Masterpieces 2007 set, way out of my price range at $300 on ebay.)
So my flu is gone in one day, thanks to all that chicken [...]

Forty Third Question of the Day.

It’s Friday, I have the flu, and I hate that card.  If it weren’t for the fabulous week we just had together, including the amazing response to yesterday’s T13 and the Sea Creature contests, I would feel yucky.
Any good home remedies to help me get all better?

Thursday Thirteen: Simple Pleasures.

(Our neighbor the osprey, with mullet for lunch, from http://vivanickdrake.deviantart.com/)
Life is full of simple pleasures, and these are thirteen of mine.

A good hot bath.  When I was a kid, on a very cold day, my body learned the bliss of total physical pleasure.  All from a simple tub of hot water.  I have spent the [...]

I Gotta Say It Was A Good Day.

Some days really are better than others, and yesterday was one of those days.  Why?
1. I am now a lifetime member of F.O.A.M.  Rob Kelly included a link to my Sea Creature article on the best Aquaman site in the Universe, which is now linked on my blogroll, and I got that certificate to hang [...]

Sea Creature Roll Call! (With Prizes.)

(a pair of counter-crazy cardboard baubles, art by Skottie Young and Carlos D’Anda)
Okay gang, it’s time for some seafood recipes.  Knowing only what we know, without the full expansion set, we are poised to dream about Sea Creatures.  In a vain attempt to stop chewing my nails in anticipation… I am throwing down a [...]

Claiming Ownership.

1995 Marvel Masterpieces #139.  Nina bought me the original Dave Devries painting of that card for Christmas ten years ago, and Penance has been guarding our bedroom ever since.  Why do I mention it today?  Check it out, Rob owns the Sea Creatures!

Forty Second Question of the Day.

The card that holds this art has been my desktop background for two weeks, since it currently owns my soul.  I’m giving a prize or two for the most accurate guesses.
What do you think that card will be?

We have arrived!

It must have been all the love.  Full Body Transplant was chosen as a highlighted blog today on the WordPress homepage!  Dance a little dance with me and rest assured that Nina and I will be sipping champagne this evening.  Thank you, to everyone who has helped to make our little corner of the interwebs such a [...]

Forty First Question of the Day.

Ouch.  I can’t hear, I can barely walk, and my voice is running at about twelve percent.  Standing right in front of the speakers on the rail is a bit insane when the Stooges hit the beach.  Punk rock sand in my shoes.  Iggy Pop breaking the news.  Mike Watt booming thunder to make the [...]
