Thanks to the Chris Bosh and Team Tomorrow, we got to spend Election Day in the Miami Heat locker room preparing holiday care packages for soldiers who would not get any mail without us. It was a beautiful thing.
My name is Rian Fike, and that is my entry in the Hatuey and the Arts Competition. It was chosen as one of the ten Finalists, and now it is going on tour. If you are lucky enough to live in Miami like we do, you can see my artwork in person four different times this month. Each event features free Hatuey Cuban Style Ale, which is a spectacular craft beer that you will never forget. I hope to see you at one of these showings, wish me luck in the Finals!
On August 31, 2012 a long filament of solar material that had been hovering in the sun’s atmosphere, the corona, erupted out into space at 4:36 p.m. EDT. The coronal mass ejection did not travel directly toward Earth, but did mingle with Earth’s magnetosphere, causing mucho aurora to appear on the night of Monday, September 3.
This is what she looked like in gif form. Party on!
